This 2,550 sf historic farm house (circa 1850) has undergone a deep renovation. The 1750's portion of the house was carefully deconstructed, and a new 1,250 sf addition built in place. Renovations include all wood flooring, beams, paneling, and stonework. Salvaged materials have been incorporated into the new addition- which includes a wraparound sunroom, farmhouse style porch and mud room, accessible full bath and half baths on the first floor, and two new bedrooms. Resiliency to sea-level rise, energy efficiency, and 'aging-in place' were goals of the project that were achieved through this extensive renovation.
The 100 acre property includes new ground mounted solar and ground source heat pump systems.
